Crossroads Kentucky
Goodbye Tomorrow, Goodbye my friends
I won’t let you, do it again
I hope you had your fun it was a hell of a ride
Crossroads Kentucky I’ll die tonight
We were brothers since, the age of five
And more than once you, saved my life
I can’t handle what’s so not right
Crossroads Kentucky I’ll die tonight
I’ll Die Tonight, I’ll Die Tonight
Crossroads Kentucky I’ll Die Tonight
Around one of these corners I will forget to turn
And over the cliff we’ll float to the moon
There’s only so much that I’ll let you do
Crossroads Kentucky, I’ll die for you
Well I’m not as guilty as you but I’m guilty all the same
For knowing what you done and playing it safe
We came in together and we’ll go out that way too
Crossroads Kentucky, I’ll die for you
I'll Die for you, I’ll die for you
Crossroads Kentucky, I’ll die for you

Real Old Book

Real Old Book
I lost myself in a real old book
Playing all these dreams out in my head
Sneaking one last kiss goodnight
In a world full of allegation
Assumption and Accusation
I’m just a blind old dog that’s digging for a bone
Bathing my tongue in inspiration
Coffee and Cream for a nameless generation
Sweet lullabies in the sky tonight
Aimlessly wandering Lyrical interpretation
A Rhythmical Aspiration
Dancing alone there in the dark
Branded in my Dull Assumption
Quoted by a vague recollection
Bop da da da, dada du wa and it gone
I’m always spinning in the right direction
Controlled by very little discretion
I can hear the moon whisper goodnight

River's Song

“River’s Song”
The lipstick on an empty glass of wine
The lack of your insatiable appetite
Ain’t nothing going on
But a River’s song
I’ve never been so happy to have nowhere to go
Gonna watch the leaves turn and the water flow
Ain’t nothing going on
But a River’s Song 2x
Chorus: It was getting so bad it was raining inside
And my rattan furniture was changing its style
There’s a whole lot of love, I’d never miss
Except your eyes, your lips and your sweet kiss
A lazy excuse just floated on by
So why do I grab it every time
Ain’t nothing going on
But a River’s Song
Solo
Chorus: It was getting so bad it was raining inside
And my rattan furniture was changing its’ style
There’s a whole lot of love, I’d never miss
Except your eyes, your lips and your sweet kiss
Your warm feeling and your sweet caress
Leave me in a terrible mess
Ain’t nothing going on
But a River’s Song
Sittin along the River on a July day
Watching my heartache float away
Ain’t nothing going on
But a River’s Song 2x

Heartbreak

Heartbreak
She should of seen it coming
There were plenty of signs
But sometimes good loving
Clouds up a sunny sky
I tried to her straight
That I was no good
But I’m always misunderstood
Heartbreak in the middle of the road
It’s dark and she’s speeding with nowhere to go
Dangerous curves ahead and a dead end road
Heartbreak, in the middle of the road
I tried to tell her more than a few times
But it’s hard to hurt a woman that’s so damn nice
Now I’ve falling heavy in the deepest love
And there’s only one woman I’m dreaming of
Heartbreak in the middle of the road
It’s dark and she’s speeding with nowhere to go
Dangerous curves ahead and a dead end road
Heartbreak, in the middle of the road
I’m gonna have to sit down and tell it to her face
About how things ain’t been going so great
I’m gonna have to tell her I’m a cheating Man
And watch her cry over her vodka and cran
Heartbreak in the middle of the road
It’s dark and she’s speeding with nowhere to go
Dangerous curves ahead and a dead end road
Heartbreak, in the middle of the road

Cabin on 33

Cabin on 33
People always dressed up in their Sunday best
While I’m still wearing what I was 10 years ago
People ask me about my lack of success
But I got two in the boat and another one on my pole
I love that Cabin on 33
And washed out Blue Jeans
And a boat that’s seen
To many Storms
There’s a little liquor there on the shelf
And it’s a lot like a cheap motel
But those woods they sure grab a hold of me
People always asking me will true love last
But I just say I got better places to go
They all want money and love but I’ve had more than enough
I just wanna enjoy this smoke and watch the sun set in front of me
I love that Cabin on 33
And washed out Blue Jeans
And a boat that’s seen
To many Storms
There’s a little liquor there on the shelf
And it’s a lot like a cheap motel
But those woods they sure grab a hold of me
People scared of dieing but I live each day like my last
And I can’t think of a better way to go
People always say, what about Jesus Christ
I say I see him every morning sitting on the country side
I love that Cabin on 33
And washed out Blue Jeans
And a boat that’s seen
To many Storms
There’s a little liquor there on the shelf
And it’s a lot like a cheap motel
But those woods they sure grab a hold of me

Cadillac Dream

“Cadillac Dream”
He’s on the side of the road with his face facing west
A Cadillac Dream and empty treasure chest
Fooling himself over time
Like a broken Bottle of old wine
Ohhh son won’t you stay awake
It’s a pretty fine sun and a beautiful day
Ohhh those days are coming for me
And I won’t live long off memories
If you’re at my funeral take your time
Remind me of something good in my life
Hold a thought pure and true
If you remember me I’ll remember you
Ohhh son won’t you stay awake
It’s a pretty fine sun and a beautiful day
Ohhh those days are coming for me
And I won’t live long off memories
I will wait for you at the pearly gates
Talking with the lord about blind faith
I’ll send a sun beam shining on down
And take all my friends for a night on the town
He’s on the side of the road with his face facing west
A Cadillac Dream and empty treasure chest
Fooling himself over time
Like a broken Bottle of old wine
Ohhh son won’t you stay awake
It’s a pretty fine sun and a beautiful day
Ohhh those days are coming for me
And I won’t live long off memories

Old Grey Car

Old Grey Car
Daddy always loved that Old Grey Car
It got you where your going but not to far
It kept him close to home he’d say
Close to what matters
One day the good lord came calling for him
A semi truck and a country ditch
It didn’t take long for mama to flip
That was all we had
The burden and the sorrow was a lot to have
So I hit the road and headed out west
Mama went home to live with her dad
That was all she wrote
The days went by and I felt the same
I can’t explain why I tried to change my name
The road was hard but I liked the view
I was going nowhere
I was working at a bar at 2 am
A cussing and spitting man rolled in
He grabbed a woman sitting alone at the bar
And he put one across her head
He was dragging her out when momma came to mind
I headed out the door though he was twice my size
We had a couple words and we shared a couple fists
I didn’t mean to use that rock
The police weren’t really gonna miss that man
With the woman’s help it was ruled an accident
I prayed to the lord for him to forgive
Never thought I’d kill a man
Well that woman came by the very next day
Said the man wasn’t gonna need his Chevrolet
There it was staring at me
That Old Grey Car
I left all I had in Fresno
Hit the road and headed home
I grabbed my momma up in my arms
And the pain was all gone
Daddy always loved that Old Grey Car
It got you where your going but not to far
It kept him close to home he’d say
Close to what matters
